Sweden’s Konsumentverket Issues Warning to Licenced Online Gambling Operators

Swedish consumer affairs agency Konsumentverket has issued a warning to licenced online gambling operators about their duty to provide customers with balanced and equitable conditions.
The agency reported that it had found numerous flaws having conducted a study of terms and conditions randomly selected by 13 operators.
AG Communications, Bayton, Blue Star Planet, ComeOn Sweden, Ellmount Gaming, Genesis Global, Interwetten, MOA Gaming Sweden, Pixel Digital, Smarkets, Svenska Spel, Videoslots and Zecure Gaming were among the operators examined by Konsumentverket.
Konsumentverket said that there were vulnerabilities discovered across the websites of operators related to withdrawal limitations, ID and authentication requirements, disclaimers of liability, contradictory play terms and undefined promotions.
The Agency submitted its findings to the Swedish Gambling Inspectorate Spelinspektionen and the Swedish Online Gambling Association Branschföreningen för Onlinespel (BOS).
