Malta’s first exclusive padel league will run from September to December 

Enteractive, the leader in player reactivation and retention for iGaming brands, has partnered with Padel Malta to launch the inaugural iGaming Padel League in Malta, highlighting the love for this fast-growing sport amongst the iGaming sector.

Padel Malta opened its doors in February this year and has since managed to attract a lot of interest for padel in Malta. A sense of community and a friendly sporting atmosphere have contributed to the club’s success.

Padel is a racquet sport typically played in doubles on a court around a third the size of a tennis court.  The game can be explained as a mix between tennis and squash, with a net in the middle and four walls surrounding the court, off which the balls can be played.

Ten teams will battle it out over three months to claim the title of Enteractive Padel League Champions 2020, beginning Monday 7th September for a weekly Monday event at Padel Malta in Pembroke.

The sport has proliferated in recent years, with an internationally recognised World Padel Tour and many European countries now including their own Padel Associations.  In Malta, the sport is popular with many expats living and working on the island in the iGaming industry.

Innovative Technology have announced a new Business Development Manager for the UK.  The position has been filled internally by Chris Wright who has been with the cash handling business for 5 years. Chris previously held the role of technical support engineer and was promoted to a dedicated sales role at the start of the year.

Commenting on Chris’ promotion, Andy Bullock, Senior Business Development Manager said, “Since Chris joined ITL in 2017 he has gained extensive product knowledge and experience as a support engineer, as well as in-depth expertise in customer training, configuration and software installations. I have worked closely with Chris over the years during his time in customer support and I am delighted that he will be working with me, together taking responsibility for our gaming and retail customers in the UK. He is fantastic with customers; has great communication skills and really gets to know their requirements, so I am confident he will flourish in this new business development role where customer satisfaction is key. Although our traditional focus in the past has been cash handling for gaming and amusement, we are also now established in the retail and kiosk marketplace plus provide age verification and facial analysis solutions with many new products on the way – Chris will play a key role in furthering our market share in these exciting, ever-changing sectors.”

Commenting on his new role, Chris said, “I already know many of our customers from my five years working in technical support.  For the past year I have been doing a cross over dual technical support/sales role which has enabled me to get to know some of our key retail customers and gain a better understanding of their needs. I am looking forward to attending the retail focussed exhibitions that we have planned throughout the year and heading up the Retail Technology Show in London, which will allow me to meet our existing retail customer base and new clients too. Affilka by SOFTSWISS is pleased to share its results for 2021. During this period, the affiliate marketing platform grew significantly across the board, including crossing the 100 affiliate brand mark. The results presented reflect the financial and business metrics of the team’s work from January to December last year. 

In 2021, the Affilka team expanded its client list with 60 new companies, up 92% from 2020 with a score of 65 live brands at the end of the year. As a result, Affilka ended 2021 at 125 live brands, 76 of which support crypto. Among these, about a third operate on third-party online casino and sportsbook platforms. Affilka is flexible in that clients can take advantage of the affiliate marketing platform regardless of whether they operate on the SOFTSWISS Online Casino Platform or use their in-house solution.

There is also a positive trend in the increase of affiliate programs. Since 2020, the growth rate increased by 79% and amounted to 86 affiliate programs by December 2021 compared to 48 a year earlier. The total GGR of all casinos and sportsbooks brands using Affilka increased by 122% to more than 390 million EUR.

“The year 2021 has shown a resurgence in the iGaming industry. On the one hand, gambling representatives have become increasingly aware of the importance of affiliate marketing and its convenience in promoting their brands. On the other hand, affiliates have also become more active in considering cooperation with iGaming companies: in 2021 alone, their number increased by 39%. Such a trend suggests that in 2022 investment in affiliate marketing will only keep growing”, said Anastasia Borovaya, Product Owner of Affilka.
