Red Flags To Look Out For In An Online Casino

Red Flags To Look Out For In An Online Casino
Reading Time: 3 minutes

There are thousands, if not tens of thousands, of online casinos out there. As if those are not yet enough, you can see new ones getting established every day. With so many choices and so many options in front of you, picking the one that is the best fit for you may prove to be more challenging than it should be.

However, it should not be that way. In the same way that there are guides like the ones from CasinoTop10 that can give you betting strategy and tips, there are also ways that you can narrow down your choices of sites or apps to choose from. One way is to be aware of the red flags that suggest that you need to stay away from an online casino. Here are some of them.

It is (suspiciously) new

There is nothing wrong with an online casino being new. After all, even the already established and reputable ones were also new and unknown in the scene at one point in time. However, if the site or apps is suspiciously new, then consider that as a red flag and you should consider staying away from it, too. What does it mean for a new betting app to be suspiciously new? There are some signs that you can easily spot.

One sign is that if the new site has no proof or indication of being registered. Usually, online casinos are proud of their licenses and their seals of approvals from registrations and inspections that they have passed through. If you do not see any of this plastered all over their site, there might be a reason for that–and that is something that you would not want to be a part of.

Deals and bonuses are too good to be true

You know how special deals and bonuses work–they are meant to be generous and attractive to you. After all, the purpose of these special offers is to entice you to sign up for an account on their site, play, and eventually, keep on playing and stay. However, if you are being offered things that seem to be suspiciously too generous, it might be time to take a step back and take a closer look at what their real offer is.

No reviews available online

If the betting site is only a few days or a week old, then you can skip this part as it would be understandable that they don’t have any reviews yet. However, if they have been in the business for a month or more, it is suspicious for them to not have any reviews at all. Surely, there would be people who have signed up for an account with them–and they are either satisfied by what they have experienced or not. If you don’t find any negative nor positive word about the site, consider that a huge red flag.

It has an unfriendly customer service

You can immediately tell the difference between a good online casino and a bad one, and one of the ways is to compare the way they do customer service. A good one would have a wide range of options on how you can reach them, should anything go wrong with your playing. They might give you the option to email, to reach them on social media, and even better have a phone line or a live chat system.

On the other hand, if a site is giving you a hard time to get support–like, only offering email support with an expected response time of 3-5 business days–you should make you feel as if they don’t want to address whatever concern you may have at all.
