GUILD ESPORTS SIGNS 1# RANKED EU FORTNITE PLAYER – TAYSON
Guild Esports announces the signing of 2020’s number one ranked EU Fortnite player, Tai “TaySon” Starčič. The addition of TaySon places Guild’s Fortnite roster as the top team in the EU competitive scene.
TaySon, a Slovenian national, is the current back-to-back winner of the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) trio and solo championships at only 16 years old, and has tournament winnings totaling over $200,000 across 28 events.
Fresh off winning the trio grand finals at last November’s FNCS, TaySon will join Nikolaj ‘Flikk” Frøslev, Henrik “Hen” Mclean and Anas “Anas” El-Abd, as the team continues their track as the EU’s top team, recently winning January’s Cash Cup trio. Competing in Guild’s ongoing charity tournament series, “The Lockdown Ladder”, TaySon has already shown his impressive talents against the current roster, building further excitement to see the results of their combined abilities.
TaySon holds an impressive combined social following of over 1m across Twitter, Instagram, Twitch and Youtube. He is known for consistently strong performances across the FNCS, ranking as the single best performer in the 2019 and 2020 series, besting the likes of Benjyfishy, MrSavage and Wolfiez in 2020 which landed him as one of ESTNN’s “Fortnite Players of the Year”.
TaySon’s first representation of Guild will come in the upcoming FNCS season qualifier on 5 February.
Grant Rousseau, Guild’s Director of Esports commented, “2020 was a landmark year for Guild Esports and Fortnite, with our talented roster dominating the competition to make us the current number 1 Fortnite team in the EU. Signing TaySon shows that we have no plans to slow down in 2021 – we’re ready to take things to another level and cement our position as the Fortnite team to beat. We’re the squad to watch out for this year, and we’re ready for our rivals to try to catch us”.
TaySon added, “I’m really proud of how far I’ve come and to be ranked as the number one player in Europe – now I’m ready to take the next step with Guild. I’m determined to make myself into an even better player with the help and support of my new team, and bring home trophies for Guild. You’ll be seeing us take over the league tables again soon, so you better keep watching!”
