With the globalization of the internet, the gambling industry has seen a rapid growth in online gambling market. This growth is being driven by the increasing availability of internet access, the proliferation of mobile devices, and the rise of social media. Moreover, online gambling is convenient, accessible, and offers a wide variety of games and betting options. It is also relatively easy to start and there are no upper age restrictions.

Apart from this, there are many other reasons why online gambling market is expanding at such high rate. For one, it is very convenient. Players can gamble from the comfort of their own home, without having to travel to a land-based casino. Additionally, online gambling sites offer a much wider range of games and betting options than most brick-and-mortar casinos. All of these factors are contributing to the favorable growth of the global online gambling market.

With the growing popularity of online gambling, there is an increasing need for regulation. This is because online gambling can pose some risks, such as addiction and cybercrime. However, with the right regulations in place, these risks can be minimized.

So far, the UK has been at the forefront of regulating online gambling. The UK Gambling Commission has put in place a number of measures to protect consumers and ensure that they are treated fairly by operators. A recent report by the SkyQuest found that the number of people gambling online in the UK online gambling market has increased by 32% in the past 2 years. This trend is being driven by the growth of online casinos and sport betting which are becoming more and more sophisticated and offering a wider range of games and betting options.

Another reason why online gambling is growing in popularity is that it is becoming more accessible. In the past, only people who lived near casinos or had the means to travel to them could gamble. But now, with the internet, anyone can gamble online.

China, US, UK, Canada and Australia Generates Over 73% Market Revenue

With the popularity of online gambling, many countries have seen an increase in revenue from this industry. China, US, Japan, Canada and Australia are some of the top contributors to the online gambling market. According to SkyQuest’s recent studies, these five countries generate over 73% of the total revenue for the online gambling market. This is a significant amount when you consider that there are over 60 countries where online gambling is legal.

The reason why these five countries generate so much revenue is because they have a large number of people who gamble regularly. China has the largest population in the world, and its citizens are known to be big gamblers. The same is true for the citizens of US, Japan, Canada and Australia. Every year, US citizen spent over $35 billion on gambling and a significant portion of that amount goes to online betting. To be precise, the country spent around $2.6 billion on online gambling and the country is witnessing a growth in the revenue at a CAGR of over 16%.

On other hand, Canada is a well-established player in the global online gambling market. As per SkyQuest Study, Canadian spent over $4.4 billion on online gambling, especially online casino. This is significantly higher than the US. Our study suggests that over 70% of Canadians are engaged in some kind of online gambling activities.

The UK is the biggest online betting market in the world. In 2021, the country spent over $16.41 billion on online betting. This is because there are many different bookmakers and betting sites that cater to UK customers. There are many different types of online bets that UK customers can make. For example, they can bet on sports, horse racing, and even political events. The sky is the limit when it comes to online betting in the UK.

There are many reasons why the UK is such a big player in the online gambling market. For one, gambling is legal and regulated in the UK, so there are plenty of legal and safe options for players to choose from. Secondly, the UK has a large population of internet users, so there is a large pool of potential customers for online gambling operators. Finally, the UK has a long history of gambling, dating back to the early days of horse racing and cockfighting. This tradition of gambling has continued into the modern era, with the British public spending billions of pounds on lottery tickets, casino games, and sports betting each year.

Draw your virtual swords as Stakelogic transports you back to the 12th Century Crusades, to defend your kingdom in Emperor’s Champion. Players are tasked with protecting the emperor and proving their worth on the reels, with prizes of up to 12,500x your stake and a plethora of exciting bonus features up for grabs.

This epic battle takes place across a 5×4 game grid, serving up 20 active paylines on every spin. Players will need to keep their eyes out for a range of special symbols that can land during the base game and the Free Spins round.

Multiplier Wilds can land on any spin. In addition to substituting for other symbols to help create winning combinations, these can display multipliers of up to 5x in the base game and 10x in the Free Spins round. These Multipliers are instantly applied to any wins they are a part of, significantly increasing your chances of hitting a tasty win.

Speaking of the Free Spins round, this is triggered when players land three bonus symbols on reels 1,3 and 5. However, this is no ordinary free spins bonus. At the start of the round, a trail appears above the reels, progressing one stage on every spin.

Any Wilds that land during the Free Spins will leave behind one of three colored Wild Frames. These remain persistent on the grid until the final spin. Landing further wilds inside the Frames will upgrade the Frames. In the final spin all the Frames that have been collected on the reels will become their corresponding Wilds or Multiplier Wilds.

The mighty Champion Symbol can land on any spin and will provide boosts for other symbols on the grid. They can upgrade Wild Symbols into Multiplier Wilds in both the base game and the Free Spins round. The Champion will also destroy Bonus symbols, turning them into maximum Multiplier Wilds, up to x10.

Finally, the Crusade bonus can trigger on any random spin, adding a Champion symbol and two Wild symbols anywhere on the reels.

This being a Stakelogic slot, players can activate several side bets, including the Spin to Win progressive jackpot and the Super Wheel bonus. The Super Wheel bonus, if triggered, transports players from the online slot world straight to a live studio, where they can spin the Super Wheel to trigger more bonuses or win big prizes.

James Jelliffe, Head of Games Design at Stakelogic, said: “Epic is our middle name here at Stakelogic, and slot action doesn’t get much more epic than defending a kingdom against an oncoming enemy. We had great fun building the world in Emperor’s Champion. Fantasy slots give our team a chance to explore new worlds and try exciting ideas, all of which are on full display here. Of course, the slot is much more than just its theme; it serves up huge winning potential and offers a selection of bonus features we are all incredibly proud of. “

Reading Time: < 1 minute

BetComply, iGaming’s most trusted technical and regulatory compliance firm, has partnered with iCasino, securing a Dutch licence for their recently-launched Hard Rock Casino brand.

HardRockCasino.nl operated by iCasino b.v. under a brand licence agreement announced its Netherlands launch at the start of July, having worked closely with BetComply to secure a licence from the Dutch regulator de Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) in May.

The brand will continue to work with BetComply to ensure on-going compliance within the Netherlands framework.

iCasino CEO Paul Strikers said: “It’s hugely exciting to bring such a globally renowned brand to the Dutch market for the first time. We understood early on in the process that operator compliance needed to be one of our highest priorities, and that’s why we enlisted the help of BetComply and its unparalleled expertise in the Netherlands. We thank Mike and the team for their tireless and rigorous support on our successful licence application, and look forward to building upon this partnership in the future; the first step being the application for a sports betting licence.”

BetComply Chief Compliance Officer Mike de Graaff added: “The Netherlands market has attracted some huge international brands over recent months, underlining the opportunities on offer for those who build a deep understanding of their regulatory obligations. We’ve already helped more than a third of all licence holders in the country, and with the KSA taking a proactive approach across all elements of regulation, we’ll continue to support our partners, including iCasino, as market conditions evolve.”

With recent high-profile reports of serious misconduct within the iGaming compliance space, it has never been more important to pick a trusted and reliable partner, both in the Netherlands and elsewhere.
