Spelinspektionen’s Review of Three Licensed Gambling Companies: All Comply with Technical Requirements

During the summer of 2024, the Gaming Authority carried out supervision of three license holders and their technical certificates of certification. Gaming companies must have their gaming systems, business systems, etc. checked by accredited companies that issue technical certificates according to the Gaming Act. All supervisory matters have been concluded without intervention against the license holders, because the review has revealed nothing more than that the companies meet the current requirements. The supervisory activity included all requirements in the technical regulation with an in-depth check regarding the participants’ restrictions on deposits and login time according to ch. 9 § 13 SIFS 2022:3.
According to ch. 2 Section 3 of SIFS 2022:3 control, testing and certification protocols must be renewed at least every twelve months. Licensees must comply with the technical requirements according to ch. 16. §§ 1 and 3 of the Gambling Act and have updated certificates from an accredited body in accordance with the Gambling Inspectorate’s regulations (SIFS 2022:3).
The Swedish Gaming Authority also intends in the future in its supervision to request control, testing and certification protocols regarding technology. The licensees do not have to send in the protocols themselves, but do so at the request of the Gambling Inspectorate, if they are not sent in at the request, this may affect the company’s license.
The companies included in the review in 2024 were: Burstit Ltd, LeoEx Ltd and Paf International plc.
