Iryna and Max presentation at CEEGC 2017
Reading Time: 4 minutes

As the Bitcoin price is going up, so is the interest for delegates that would like to hear more about cryptocurrencies during gaming events around the world. This has lead EEGEvents (organizers of CEEGC Budapest) to invite the best speakers when it comes to the presence of Bitcoin in the world of gambling. Thus, it is their honor to announce the next speaker who will join their first exclusive cryptocurrency panel in the Innovation Talk Series.

Max Krupyshev (COO of Cubits) will be the expert that will join the panel and we are really excited to give this great opportunity to gain access into some vital information for the attending delegates.

The “Innovation Talks – The Cryptocurrency Effect”  panel is scheduled to be held between 12:00 – 13:00 (Budapest Local Time) on the 19th of September (Day 1) during the second edition of the Central and Eastern European Gaming Conference Budapest. (you can view the full agenda here).

More about the speaker:

Max Krupyshev at CEEGC 2017

Max Krupyshev (COO of Cubits)

Max has a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Master’s in Business Administration. He heard about Bitcoin for the first time in late 2013 right after completing his Master’s degree in Management. Max was immediately inspired by the innovative and disruptive technology behind Bitcoin and quickly made a name for himself in his local Bitcoin community in Kiev.

Eventually, Max’s passion for Bitcoin drove him to co-found a Kiev-based software development studio and to found the Bitcoin Foundation Ukraine and Satoshi Square Kiev. Max has also worked for one of the biggest Bitcoin Cloud mining platforms prior to becoming Product manager and later Chief Operating Officer at Cubits.

Today Cubits.com is a leading Bitcoin Payment provider in Europe and a well known platform where customers can Buy and Sell bitcoin using classical financial instruments.

Moving to a different vertical and without leaving Max’s origin, we have some great news about Ukraine.

This year Ukraine’s government has promised to start earning increased revenue from legal gambling starting with 2018. The news was highly shared since in April, Ukraine’s Ministry of Finance published the full text of a letter to International Monetary Fund boss Christine Lagarde, detailing the country’s plans to reform its economy in order to qualify for $17.5b in financial assistance.

The letter, which was signed by the country’s president, prime minister, finance minister and national bank president (although the latter abruptly quit on Monday), vowed to press ahead with plans to legalize gambling in the Ukraine, “which will contribute additional revenue to the budget no later than 2018.”

In 2015, Ukraine introduced draft legislation that would have authorized land-based casinos, sports betting, a new national lottery and online gambling sites. The following year, the government suggested its gambling market could generate revenue of $1.5b per year, but gambling operators balked at the price of proposed license fees and the tax rates, and the legislation went nowhere.

Last November, a group of local industry stakeholders formed the Ukrainian Gaming Industry Association to help the government craft legislation that would take ‘international standards and practices” into account.

The “Growth of regulated markets in the Eastern European region” panel is scheduled to be held between 11:00 – 12:00 (Budapest Local Time) on the 19th of September (Day 1) during the second edition of the Central and Eastern European Gaming Conference Budapest. (you can view the full agenda here).

Ukraine’s regulation on the horizon, the plans to regulating the market by European guidelines” is the tile of Ms. Iryna Sergienko’s presentation and it will serve the most vital information which revolves around the opportunities Ukraine can bring for investors and operators.

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Innovative Technology (ITL) have announced their participation at the largest global network of gaming professionals in Spain. From 7-9 May 2024, Madrid will become the centre of the Spanish gaming industry, celebrating the 40th anniversary of Feria Internacional del Juego (FIJMA).

FIJMA is the most important event in the leisure and gaming industry in Spain where the main companies, manufacturers and experts in the industry gather to learn about the latest slots and gaming equipment innovations. The Spanish team at ITL will be exhibiting their solutions on stand A49 and plan to have their latest note recyclers and coin handling products centre stage, as well as demonstrating how their biometrics solutions can be utilised to benefit the gaming industry to prevent underage gambling.

Jose Garcia Escudero, General Manager for ITL Spain said, “We are looking forward to showing how combining our compact note recycler (NV22 Spectral) and advanced coin recycler (SMART Coin System) gives the best fit for cash handling efficiency for gaming machines in Spain. These solutions now dominate the Spanish gaming market giving operators considerable float management savings, fewer refills, and a massive reduction in coin starvation for improved machine uptime. We’ll also show the new NV4000 mixed denomination note recycler to the Spanish gaming market for the first time, ideal for high volume applications like change and redemption terminals.”

ITL have a range of AI-powered biometric solutions which perform accurate age verification at gaming venue entrances or integrated in gaming machines.

Continuing Jose said, “We will also have our age check devices on the stand for visitors to demo which can help operators prevent someone potentially underage or even self-excluded trying to play a machine or access an age restricted area. ICU Lite can be fully integrated in a gaming machine or betting terminal to automatically estimate age to prevent minors from playing. MyCheckr can be utilised at 18+ entrances to prevent access. Both devices have a one-off cost with no subscriptions and no internet required. Our technology is affordable, available to all and trusted, with no biometric personal data stored.”

Concluding Jose said, “We have very strong relationships with the Spanish market and we’re proud to know that our products will be displayed on a number of stands from our long standing customers. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone in person in Madrid and we welcome you all to stand A49.”
