Racing Post and Racing.com enter content sharing partnership
Thursday 7th June, 2018 – Racing.com and Racing Post have entered a content sharing arrangement around feature events, giving racing fans the best available coverage of thoroughbred racing from around the world.
Racing Post has long been considered one of the world’s great racing and sport media businesses, having begun as a print publication in Britain in 1986 before launching its first digital platform in 1997. Racing Post is now a leading digital publisher with an innovative mobile app and fully responsive website – racingpost.com, as well an expanding business-to-business division which develops content and products for a range of domestic and international partners. While providing detailed racing form for UK and Irish thoroughbred racing, Racing Post has an extensive news service that covers Europe, the United States, and other major racing jurisdictions. Racing Post acquired ANZ Bloodstock News in 2017 to add to its coverage of racing and bloodstock from around the globe.
Racing.com launched in 2014 as the Victorian thoroughbred industry owned digital media platform before becoming the media rights holder for Victorian thoroughbred racing in 2015 through the broadcast of racing on Australian Free-To-Air channels 78 (metropolitan) and 68 (regional), Foxtel 529 & the Racing.com digital platform. Since then, Racing.com has become the media rights holder for South Australian thoroughbred racing and also broadcasts Hong Kong and other selected feature international racing events on its Free-To-Air channels throughout the year, with form, news and features created for broadcast, digital and social media channels.
Beginning on June 1, 2018, the content sharing arrangement enables written stories and video features aligned with major racing, breeding and thoroughbred sales events to be shared between Racing.com and Racing Post across their digital platforms. This will include the sharing of content during the feature European summer flat racing period and winter jumps period, Australia’s major racing carnivals including the spring and autumn, and significant thoroughbred sales in Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
Racing.com CEO Andrew Catterall said: “There is such a strong link between Australian and European racing, particularly with the UK and Ireland. We have seen over the years some of our best horses compete over there and many of their best at our carnivals, to share content around these feature events is relevant to our audiences. Racing Post are world leaders and we look forward to working with them.”
Racing Post Managing Editor Tony Smurthwaite said: “The opportunity to be partners with the excellent team at Racing.com is too good to miss. We look forward to a fruitful and lasting relationship as well as giving readers across all of our products a richer experience of racing and bloodstock issues in Australia and New Zealand.”

Scatters Club Streamers Awards 2025: New Opportunities for Audience Contribution
The Scatters Club Streamers Awards, the first online awards dedicated exclusively to gambling streamers, return for their second year. Following the success of the inaugural event, the 2025 edition aims to recognize the most impactful streaming moments of 2024. With over 200 submissions received on the first day, the event promises to make a difference in the streaming community.
The awards ceremony will take place on February 27, 2025, and will include a formal gala featuring notable industry figures. In preparation for this event, fans and streamers are encouraged to engage with the nomination and voting process to ensure comprehensive representation.
Updated Categories and Opportunities for Community Input
For 2025, the awards have been expanded and refined to reflect the evolution of the streaming industry. This year’s program features 10 fan-voted categories and 5 data-driven “Legends of the Year” nominations, focusing on key achievements across the sector. Rules have been clarified, and nominations have been updated to cover all the essential aspects of the streaming landscape.
The organizers are inviting community input throughout December. Fans and streamers can propose new categories or highlight moments they believe deserve recognition. Submissions, accompanied by supporting video materials and time codes, can be made via email – [email protected]. Selected contributions may influence next year’s categories and receive some prizes. Also, those getting votes from the community will be invited to participate in the live stream.
How the Voting Process Works
The selection process for the awards is divided into three phases:
Phase 1: Long List (January 13–27)
Fans will determine which nominees advance by supporting their favorites through online engagement.
Phase 2: Short List (January 29–February 11)
The top-5 nominees in each category will be evaluated through a combination of fan votes and an expert jury.
Phase 3: Legends of the Year
This category is based entirely on statistical analysis conducted by Casinolyitics. However, fans may also participate by placing predictions on their preferred Legend from the top-5 contenders.
The winners will be announced during the live gala on February 27, 2025.

Turn Up the Heat with Tom Horn Gaming’s New Slot, Hot Blizzard Deluxe
Tom Horn Gaming, the award-winning iGaming supplier, is turning up the temperature this winter with the release of Hot Blizzard Deluxe.
Scheduled to go live on 5 December, this fery slot promises to deliver an electrifying gaming experience with explosive features, blazing visuals, and high-intensity gameplay that players love.
Expanding Wilds and Super Free Spins with Wild Reel
At the core of the Hot Blizzard Deluxe’s gameplay is the Expanding Wilds feature, where Wild symbols not only fll entire reels but also come with blazing multiplier values of x1, x2, x5, or x10. Whenever a Wild lands as part of a winning combination, it transforms the symbols above and below into Wilds, forming an Expanding Wild and creating opportunities for massive wins. What’s more, if multiple Wilds appear on the screen, their multiplier values are added together before being applied to the win, offering truly explosive payout potential.
The game’s Free Spins feature takes the thrill even higher. By landing three Star symbols, players trigger 10 Free Spins, where the middle reel transforms into a fully Wild reel with multiplier values that change on every spin. For those seeking even more fery rewards, the Super Free Spins feature is activated by landing four Star symbols. Here, the middle reel consists entirely of x10 Wilds, setting the stage for some truly monumental wins.
Adding a unique twist to the gameplay is Tom Horn Gaming’s QuickX™ feature, which offers players instant access to the game’s most exciting features. Players can select from four distinct options: triple the chance to trigger Free Spins for a x1.5 bet multiplier, spin with a random Expanding Wild for a x25 bet multiplier, enjoy Free Spins with the Wild Reel for a x50 bet multiplier, or dive straight into the Super Free Spins with a x10 Wild Reel for a x200 bet multiplier. This feature ensures that players can customise their gaming experience and jump straight into the action whenever they choose.
A Game That Keeps the Flames Burning
Set against a fery backdrop, Hot Blizzard Deluxe combines cutting-edge mechanics with visually striking design and a soundtrack that amplifes the heat. The game’s dynamic features ensure that every spin has the potential to deliver thrilling moments and substantial wins, making it an instant favourite among players of all levels.
“With Hot Blizzard Deluxe, we’ve taken our commitment to player engagement and entertainment to the next level. The combination of features like Expanding Wilds, Free Spins, and the QuickX™ mechanic provides an experience that’s not only visually stunning but also incredibly rewarding. This is a game that will appeal to a wide range of players, and we’re excited to see it light up the reels for our partners and their players,” said Katarina Slaninova, Head of Marketing at Tom Horn Gaming.
The game will be available across the supplier’s extensive network of partners from 5 December 2024. Get ready to turn up the heat and let fortune blaze bright with Hot Blizzard Deluxe!

Roadmap for Gaming Reform report published
The Independent Panel brought together, for the first time, a mix of industry representatives, harm minimisation experts, police, experts in cybersecurity and privacy, academics, community organisations and a person with lived experience of gambling harm.
Specifically, the Independent Panel examined the feasibility and acceptance of implementing cashless gaming technologies in clubs and hotels in NSW to gain insights from the technology to inform the Roadmap report.
Independent Panel for Gaming Reform Chairperson Michael Foggo said the panel’s Executive Committee has put forward an ambitious roadmap for gaming reform for the government to consider.
“This has been challenging and complex work, and I thank each of the panel’s 16 members for their time, expertise and enthusiasm over the 16 months of the panel’s work, and for contributing their views to developing the recommendations,” Mr Foggo said.
“The trial of this new technology was an important step to better understand the benefits and challenges for its implementation, giving technology providers, venues, patrons and government insights on operational issues tested in the real world.
“The trial learnings, advice from experts, research and evidence have informed the recommendations and safeguards to manage gambling harm and money-laundering risks and inform reasonable implementation timeframes to minimise impacts on industry.
“The roadmap also includes recommendations to progress the government’s commitment to reduce the overall number of gaming machine entitlements in NSW, as well as removing unnecessary complexity and further streamlining existing gaming regulatory regimes.”
The Independent Panel provided the government with separate advice on issues including mandating facial recognition technology to identify self-excluded patrons, and the establishment of a statewide exclusion register with third party exclusions.
The Executive Committee noted that further work needs to be undertaken by the government in developing its preferred approach to gaming reform.
