Brussels, 2 August 2018: ESSA (the not for profit integrity body that represents many of the world’s largest regulated sports betting operators) today announced that Perform Group has joined the association as their first affiliate member. Perform Group is the digital leader in global sports media, touching every aspect of the way fans engage with sport.

Under the terms of the agreement, Perform Group’s dedicated global integrity team will work with ESSA on both operational and strategic issues, with the aim for both organisations to share their experience on betting integrity issues.

Khalid Ali, Secretary General of ESSA, stated: “Data has become an increasingly important part of the sporting experience for consumers and that includes related betting activity. The inclusion of Perform and its globally recognised sports data business, which includes partnerships with major sports such as the WTA and La Liga, further enhances the interaction and mutual interest between our sectors in maintaining the integrity of sporting events. We are proud to include Perform Group as the first affiliate member of ESSA and look forward to welcoming other integrity focused businesses within our association in the near future.”

Jake Marsh Head of Integrity Operations at Perform, stated: “We are delighted to have been announced as the first data provider to join ESSA as an affiliate member. Like ESSA, we live by a fundamental commitment to sport and betting integrity that is at the core of everything we do as a sports business. Perform works with a number of stakeholders on a 24/7 basis to share intelligence and advise of threats and our collaborative and not-for-profit approach is always the same and demonstrably effective. The ability of different sectors to effectively work together is critical to maintaining the integrity of sport, and we look forward to working closely with ESSA to protect sport and betting from manipulation.”

The ESSA Affiliate programme is open to any non-betting operator business or organisation that shares the same values as ESSA and its members on integrity and betting issues, in particular sports data providers and sports betting software suppliers and trading functions. Full ESSA membership is only open to licensed and regulated betting companies.

ESSA holds positions on high-level betting policy forums at the European Commission, Council of Europe and the IOC. It is driving a number of important initiatives aimed at addressing match-fixing and hosted an international betting integrity conference at Lords Cricket Ground (see here) at the end of last year, attended by over 150 senior officials from sports bodies, regulators and other key stakeholders. ESSA’s Q2 2018 integrity report, along with the previous reports, can be accessed here.

About ESSA:

ESSA represents many of the world’s biggest regulated sports betting operators, serving over 40 million consumers in the EU alone. Concerned regulated bookmakers created ESSA in 2005 to monitor betting markets and alert sporting bodies and national regulators to suspicious betting patterns. The goal was and is to protect consumers from potential fraud caused by manipulating sporting events. ESSA helps to combat this with evidence-based intelligence it provides to sporting bodies and regulators.

Every year, our members invest over €50m in compliance and internal security systems in order to help combat fraud. They also give back to sport and society by spending €400m on sponsorship around the world – €250m of that in Europe alone. This increases substantially when advertising and photo and video-streaming rights are taken into consideration. ESSA and its members also co-fund an education programme on gambling with EU Athletes that reaches out to 15,000 athletes/players across at least ten different sports in 13 EU countries.

ESSA continues to play a key role as the regulated betting sector’s representative body at national and international match-fixing policy forums and holds positions on working groups at the European Commission, Council of Europe and the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The organisation is continually reassessing and improving its alert and reporting systems and has established information sharing arrangements with a range of sports bodies and regulatory authorities.

ESSA members include: 888sport, ABB, Bet-at-Home, Betclic, Betdaq, Betfred, Betsson, BetStars, BetVictor, Betway, bet365, bwin, Cashpoint, Expekt, Fonbet, Gamesys, Interwetten, Ladbrokes Coral, Paddy Power Betfair, Perform Group (affiliate), Sky Bet, Sportingbet, Sporting Index, Sportium, Stanleybet, Stoiximan, Unibet and William Hill. Armadillo Studios announces the upcoming release of its first branded slot, featuring the famous Brazilian MMA champion Amanda “The Lioness” Nunes. The new title will be live on August 2, 2022.

The Lioness, Armadillo Studios’ first branded title featuring the legendary Brazilian athlete Amanda Nunes, will increase the studio’s reach of new player bases and demographics.

The slot will be launched on August 2, after the title rematch with Julianna Peña on July 30 in Dallas, where Nunes is set to reconquer her title as the UFC bantamweight champion.

Amanda Nunes is an ambitious fighter who doesn’t show weakness in her matches, being one of the best ground wrestlers in MMA and going toe-to-toe with the world’s most skilled fighters.

The slot captures Amanda Nunes’ successful career by taking the players to the UFC cage. They can experience the world of MMA fighting through various interactive mechanics, a unique Fight Feature, Free Spins, a Lioness Link bonus, and a Fortune Bet mode that upgrades Nunes’ punching power.

The smooth gameplay, great soundtrack, and animations create a captivating slot showcasing a true champion with many wins under her belt.

Peer-led online gaming website responds to customers’ wishes following comprehensive survey

Slots Play Casinos has unveiled a fresh new look and the promise of even more bonuses and exclusive offers to underline its status as the market’s most customer-focused gaming comparison website.

SlotsPlayCasinos .com has fine-tuned its offering with design and reward enhancements in response to an overwhelmingly positive customer survey found that almost 85% of players said it is either easy or very easy to discover the information they need via the site.

Around three-quarters of respondents said that access to bonuses, free chip coupons and exclusive deals is what they like most about Slots Play Casinos. Information about new game updates was the second most important feature, just ahead of casino reviews.

However, rather than simply soaking up the positive feedback and praise, the peer-led online gaming site is giving its players even more of what they like.

The platform has increased the number of exclusive deals it offers – especially free spins – with a brand-new layout featuring easy-to-find game reviews and bonuses. Users can also enjoy an even more intuitive design with enhanced navigation and speed.

Laurie Renfield of Slots Play Casinos said: “Slots Play Casinos prioritises being responsive to our visitors’ input, which strengthens our peer-led approach and vision: they spoke, we listened, we acted.

“This is the perfect symbiotic relationship for our ever-growing popular hub of information, smart strategies, and great deals in online gaming. Our approach sets a benchmark for the sector and is undoubtedly good news for players.”

After embarking on its latest site performance survey, Slots Play Casinos received hundreds of completed questionnaires in just a few days.

“This unusually high response rate is indicative of a high level of trust in the service we are providing as well as a strong relationship between our site and user,” Renfield added.
