PokerStars.Es to disable Russian access

Spanish poker website PokerStars.es has decided to shut down the poker room for Russian players. The website has a number of registered users from Russia. However, all the Russian accounts will be disabled soon.
The website has not indicated a deadline for the procedure. But it assured that all the existing customers will be eligible to withdraw money remaining in their accounts. At the moment, PokerStars.ru, the Russian-language website redirects the users to PokerStarsSochi.net. Sochi casino is the official partner of the poker room. The Spanish online poker room started admitting Russian players only in January 2018. This was after a legislation change in Spain, whereby the Spanish poker rooms can admit citizens of European countries, with the exception of Great Britain, Denmark, Belgium, Bulgaria, Romania, and Estonia.
