Colombia’s Online Gambling Revenue Increases 63% in H1 2019

Coljuegos, Colombia’s gambling regulatory body, has revealed that the state’s share in the online gambling revenue market has increased by 63% year-on-year in the six months ending June 30.
Online gambling now contributes 9.4% to the overall revenue of Coljuegos. The online “casino & bingo” segment form the largest contributor at COP186.3m.
In March, Coljuegos released an online map that allows users to identify legal gambling facilities in any city across Colombia. With the new map, gamblers and players can now have access to all relevant information including name, address, and corporate identification number, along with the expiration date of the license acquired by the venue operator.
