VBET NAMED FIRST OFFICIAL POKER OPERATOR IN UKRAINE
VBET has reached an agreement to become the first licensed online poker operator in Ukraine. VBET’s move into the Ukrainian market was approved on May 31, 2021, after the company received approval for Online Poker and Online Casino licenses from the Ukrainian Gambling and Lottery Commission (KRAIL).
The global betting and gaming operation, powered by BetConstruct, has also obtained an online casino license in the Eastern European country.
Gambling in Ukraine has been legal since 2020 after its parliament adopted an organizational and conduct law to align with the European gambling industry.
VBET’s entrance into the regulated Ukrainian market is an important strategic step on the way to expanding its global presence across the globe and delivering responsible gaming to Ukrainians.
In Ukraine, VBET will operate under the VBET.ua domain name.
Seda Mkhitaryan, VBET Head of Licensing and Certification, said:
“It is a great honour and privilege to receive the approval of the Ukrainian Gambling and Lottery Commission (KRAIL) for online casino and online poker. This is an important event for us, especially in these challenging times. It’s been a long, hard journey, but, for our team, even the sky’s not the limit.”
Vigen Badalyan, Group CEO & Founder, said:
“Our Team sees great potential in the Ukrainian market and is excited to provide fully legal and high-quality entertainment solutions to its clients. VBET is always keen to support responsible gambling, grow local sports, follow the highest business ethics standards, and fill the market with drive, creativity, and passion. ”
