Ukraine to Pass Bill Amending Gambling Taxes by November 10
Victoria Zakrevska, Deputy Chair of the All-Ukrainian Gambling Council (UGC) for Communications, has summed up the results of the international gambling summit held by SBC in Kyiv in October.
The event demonstrated the high interest of foreign operators and investors in Ukraine. In total, the SBC Summit CIS focused on three topics:
Taxation
According to Boris Baum, the bill № 2713-d will be passed by November 10. This will be able to create a better tax environment for foreign operators to apply for licenses in the first quarter of 2022.
Regulations
The business representatives were able to discuss such topics as licensing, the requirements for gambling establishments, gambling advertising, and identification of the player with representatives of KRAIL and other government regulators.
Principles of Responsible Gaming
Principles of responsible gaming, which in one way or another became the topic of profile discussions. The business shared its experience in implementing solutions and technologies that are designed to combat addiction and prevent problem gambling.
UGC event has also hosted four panel discussions; a number of meetings were held with representatives of foreign operators, which revealed the need for consultations on entering the Ukrainian market. Also, 11 licensees signed a memorandum on gambling advertising during the summit.
