Scientific Games Receives First Game Approval Under Macau’s New Technical Standards 2.0

Scientific Games has received compliance approval from the DICJ for “Carnival Cow”, making it the first game to meet Macau’s new EGM Technical Standards 2.0.
The Technical Standards 2.0, which came into effect on 1 September 2021, provide updated compliance guidelines for all EGMs in Macau with a focus on enhancing game integrity and responsible gaming features. Suppliers have until 31 December 2022 to ensure all new games submitted to the DICJ are compliant, while casinos must update or swap out all machines by 21 December 2024.
Scientific Games Vice President and Managing Director for Asia, Ken Jolly, said the company has fast-tracked its development of Version 2.0 compliant games with the new standards to give operators the ability to receive popular games for their casino floors.
“We moved quickly so our customers are able to purchase games now that are compliant with the new regulatory requirements that will be completely implemented by the end of 2024,” Ken Jolly said.
