HappyBet’s Sportsbetting Licence Renewed Until 2027
The Darmstadt Regional Council has extended HAPPYBET’s license for sports betting in Germany until 2027. HAPPYBET is a betting brand with around 90 employees, four locations and 130 acceptance points in Austria and Germany.
“One of HAPPYBET’s strengths and the engine of its growth is its affiliation with Snaitech. This established group has been able to significantly expand its business in recent years and demonstrate its comprehensive online expertise. The gross gaming revenue of the online channel segment grew by 44.3 percent compared to 2020,” Michele Sessa, PBS Germany Operation Managing Director, said.
“One of our most important tasks in the coming months will be to meet the standards of the new regulation on player protection in Germany and to identify and prevent potential addictive behaviour. From our point of view, the Interstate Treaty on Gambling is an extraordinary opportunity and a step in the right direction: it regulates the market, which will lead to healthy competition on the one hand and to an effective fight against illegal gambling on the other,” Michele Sessa added.
HAPPYBET was acquired by Snaitech and currently has around 9500 active players per month (online-only players and loyalty cards). The revenues of HAPPYBET have increased by 26% in the first half of 2022 compared to the first half of 2021.
