Asia Gaming Summit concluded in great success

The Inaugural edition of Asia Gaming Summit concluded in great success with more than 200 attendees.
The first annual Asia Gaming Summit concluded with remarkable success last week with over 200 industry practitioners, experts and affiliates gathered to explore Taiwan’s chances of becoming the next destination for land-based and online gaming businesses.
Taiwan was chosen as the destination to hold the inaugural Asia Gaming Summit due to the Kinmen Island referendum, the blooming phenomenon of business process outsourcing, and the foreign investment online gaming service providers in Taiwan.
The conference gathered leading gaming experts in Taiwan, including Mooze Lee, Secretary General of WISBET, one of the leading online gaming service providers based in Taiwan; Steve Hsieh, Chairman of Taiwan Lottery; Calvin Shueh, an Asia Gaming expert; and Calvin Yang, Join Law Managing Partner.
The conference also gathered experts from other key areas, including Frank Schuengel, Product Director of Cryptocurrency Operator; Spencer Yang, Head of Asia of Unikrn; Jesper Ramskov Jensen, CEO of iGaming Asia; and Tony Tong, co-founder of Pacific Financial and China Credit Management Association etc.
As Taiwan said no to having a casino in the Kinmen Island, the conference also brought other countries in the region including Vietnam, Philippines and Japan into the spotlight, with sessions presented by Prof. Augustine Ha Ton Vihn, Chairman, Stellar Management Corporation; Basilio Rodriguez, President, North Cagayan Gaming and Amusement Corp. and the Japan panel formed by Ayako Nakayama, Executive Director of Japan IR Association; Masahiro Terada, Senior Manager at PWC Consulting; and Tomohiro Takagi, Counsel at Nishimura & Asahi.
Gaming operators and affiliates also networked with the sponsors and exhibitors during the event, including BetConstruct, XPG, Taiwan Lottery Corp., Betradar and Limelight Networks.
Asia Gaming Summit is organised by Beacon Events, the same organiser of iGaming Asia Congress (iGA), the longest running dedicated C-level igaming event in Asia. With the success of Asia Gaming Summit, there are now more reasons to attend the 10th edition of iGaming Asia Congress to be held on March 13-15, 2018.
iGA has confirmed Sue Schneider, editor in chief of Gaming Law Review and Economics, to speak, and she will be looking back at 10 years of iGA as well as the future plans of the iGaming industry. iGA released the programme earlier this month.
