Paysafecard sign up to support ESL

Payment provider paysafecard has agreed a deal to become an official partner of the ESL series of professional esports events.
Although terms of the new agreement were not disclosed, it was confirmed that paysafecard will serve as a strategic brand partner and global payment partner of the ESL.
The deal covers all ESL events, including the Extreme Masters, ESL One and CS:GO Pro League circuits, as well as several National Championships and ESL Arenas.
paysafecard will now be integrated as a payment method to the ESL Shop, ESEA, and ESL Play, with full category exclusivity.
In addition, paysafecard users will have access to a range of special offers and discounts, while the payment provider will work with ESL on a series of other fan-focused initiatives.
Ralf Reichert, chief executive of ESL, said: “paysafecard is one of the partners that really grew with us and the esports industry throughout the years, and we’re very proud to welcome them on board on a global level.
“It’s one of the brands that puts the community first with quality activations that engage fans on all levels, and we’re excited to see what they have in store.”
