Primorye to bring in casino cruise ships to woo foreign gamblers
With the intention of wooing foreign gamblers, in that area the government of the Primorye Territory is planning to bring on board the casino cruise ships.
Andrei Tarasenko, the Vice Governor of the Primorye Territory, publicised that the government is considering the introduction of casino cruise ships to allure in the foreign gamblers. Investors were informed during a meeting, that promptly registering interest in the potential business would ensure ships sailing between Russian far-eastern ports and Japan, Korea and China.
Reportedly drawing interest from several businessmen, Tarasenko said “Co-financing will allow you (investors) to expand your business and organise a casino on-board the ship. The Diamond Fortune Holdings representative, Sergei Sidorov said: “We are ready to consider in detail the possibility of participating in the acquisition of the vessel.”
Several companies are set to join forces and exploit the casino cruise market, as Primorye investors may set up a professional association of gaming companies of Russia’s Far East involving NagaCorp, G1 Entertainment, and Diamond Fortune Holdings Prim. Furthermore, St. Petersburg authorities had previously asked Kaliningrad head Anton Alikhanov to jointly launch a cruise ferry operator with gaming facilities on-board.
