Atlantic City casinos striving for iGaming licences

The Division of Gaming Enforcement publicised the attempt of Ocean Resort and Hard Rock Atlantic City to acquire iGaming licences.
The city of Atlantic will promptly witness both the Hard Rock Atlantic City casino (Formerly Trump Taj Mahal) and the Ocean Resort (formerly Revel casino) unfolding next spring and its operators are in the process of getting ready to offer diverse iGaming options. According to Atlantic City’s Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), both parties have appealed for licences lately to offer internet gaming.
The city already has to its credit five casinos with internet facility. In case their requests get authorisation from DGE, the two new venues entering into the iGaming market would mean that all five gaming developments would go with online gambling.
With both the casinos set to open by next spring the Ocean Resorts already has agreed with UK online gambling software provider GAN to launch a real-money online gaming site sometime in the second half of this year.
The online gaming market is set to grow in the near future in Atlantic City but still awaits for the Supreme Court of the United States to rule on the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992 and assess the impact the business has on casinos if the sports betting gets approved.
