MGM Resorts unveils its new casino – MGM Cotai

MGM Resorts, the world’s leading hospitality and entertainment company unveiled MGM Cotai, its new casino in Macau yesterday.
The blissful occasion of the opening ceremony was accompanied by the Macau Chief Executive Chui Sai along with some key Macau government officials and executives from MGM Resorts, as the MGM Resorts opened the doors of MGM Cotai to the public.
MGM China announced the promotional offers that the grand opening comprised which were intended towards individuals, families and business people through flexible and high-value packages. The offers started at US$170 for a one-night stay at MGM Cotai’s hotel, while an additional US$60 resort credits were given to be spent in the restaurants, spa and entertainment facilities of the guests’ choice. Ferry transportation and dining discounts when spending resort credits were also given.
MGM China delayed the opening owing to Typhoon Hato that hit Macau during the last week of August and devastated diverse parts of the city. Moreover, after the storm, the casino suffered a fire that left one worker hospitalised. Consequently, the facility was forced to close its doors for around a month.
