Ghana’s Premier League sponsorship deals to be subdued by Gambling companies

The Premier League main shirt sponsorship deals for the 2017/18 season will be subdued by Gambling companies, with over half of top-flight clubs of Ghana sporting the logos of betting and online gambling companies.
It is anticipated that as many as NINE top-flights sides will be powered by betting companies to signal their influence on the local terrain.
As per the reports of GHANAsoccernet.com, Soccabet the Ghana-based online sports betting company is the latest gambling company to invade the local market aiming an integration with at least SIX Ghanaian clubs.
Ebusua Dwarfs, Wa All Stars, Inter Allies, and Berekum Chelsea are anticipated to sport the logos of Soccabet prior to the new season.
Betway will be displayed by League champions Aduana Stars as well as Medeama, Ashantigold, and Liberty Professionals while Dreams FC will be kit by Mybet.
Owing to Ashantigold, a Ghanaian football team, opening the floodgates post their hooking up with Betway, a global online gambling company, there has been an astonishing escalation over past 1 year in the number of betting companies interested in sponsoring Premier League clubs in Ghana. Now it seems second-tier and lower division sides are all courting sponsorship from gambling companies as they strive to stay afloat in the midst of crippling financial challenges.
It is unclear if the Ghana FA will ban the growing phenomenal amid fears of a ‘hidden epidemic’ of addiction and protect children from early exposure to gambling.
