Six detained for gambling in Barmer, India

Barmer city police arrested six people who were gambling in a house at Kalyanpura here. Police recovered Rs 2.79 lakh and other items. SHO Amar Singh Ratnu said that based on the information from an informer, a house was raided at Kalyanpura and six rich gamblers were arrested. Earlier too such gamblers have been caught. These people gamble on certain festivals.
The police were expecting that people would indulge in gambling during the festival of Holi and hence formed a team. The arrested include Pawan Kumar (31), Hukumal (36), Ramesh (25), Bharat (28), Jitendra Kumar (36) and Mukesh Kumar (34).
