PartyPoker to jump into shared online poker liquidity bandwagon

Partypoker, the online poker brand of gambling giant GVC Holdings based at the Isle of Man, is getting closer to joining the shared online poker liquidity project.
The company sources revealed that last month that it was updating its .es website to make it look the same as its global .com website, which points towards an imminent launch of shared poker tables is imminent.
It was earlier reported that PartyPoker could go live with shared Franco-Spanish tables on the last day of April or May 1. But it did not happen. Spanish and French players will have to wait for a little more before starting to play with players from the other countries. But the wait will not be long.
PartyPoker got the required license for the operation of shared poker tables from the French gambling regulator, ARJEL.
Apart from license, the companies also have to ensure that they comply with the technical requirements that the regulator of France, Spain, Italy, and Portugal agreed to in the summer of 2017 when the shared liquidity agreement was officialised.
Another requirement is that operators also must provide players from their European networks with the same playing experience as the players on their global websites. That is why PartyPoker had to adjust its local websites in preparation for the launch of its .eu network.
PokerStars is currently the only operator to offer shared poker tables. It merged its French and Spanish pools at the beginning of 2018 and is gearing up for a shared liquidity launch in Portugal. Partypoker has previously said that it would look to launch its .eu website in all four participating markets. However, the operator needs to obtain a license in Portugal, where PokerStars is currently the only regulated poker brand to be servicing Portuguese players.
