IGT inks deal with MGM Resorts

International Game Technology (IGT), the premier software and accessories provider to gaming industry based in London has signed a sports betting deal with MGM Resorts International.
As per the deal, IGT will service MGM’s sports betting products and provide a world-class sports betting platform across the company’s retail operations. This deal significant on the eve of the new sports betting legislation in the USA, where the operators are getting ready to be the first off the block to start offering legalised sports betting.
IGT will be the sole provider and offer its total sports betting product for the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City.
IGT’s sports betting retail point-of-sale system will be opened for Borgata and will allow for customers to wager in-play and pre-match sports wagers over the counter. Sports betting wagers were starting to be accepted on Friday.
Renato Ascoli, CEO for IGT North America said, “Deployment of IGT’s sports betting solution at Borgata demonstrates that we are ready to deliver the products, technology, support and service to make retail and mobile sports betting a reality in any legalised state, today.”
IGT powers 10 major Las Vegas Strip properties as well as MGM Resorts’ retail sports betting, and mobile apps that play throughout Nevada with playMGM and IGT PlaySpot.
