Tony Khatskevich is new CTO of Sazka Group

The Sazka Group, the pan-European lottery operator, has appointed Tony Khatskevich as its new Chief Technology Officer.
Khatskevich will lead the SAZKA Group’s Technology Unit and will work closely with the heads of the technology divisions of the Group’s individual member companies. He will report directly to SAZKA Group’s CEO Robert Chvatal.
Khatskevich has worked in research and development and taken part in the implementation of numerous technological innovations throughout his career. During recent years, Khatskevich has specialised in developing technologies for the gaming industry. This skillset and experience fits perfectly with the SAZKA Group’s vision, which is based on, among other things, the ability to rapidly exploit new opportunities brought about by technological innovation.
“SAZKA Group is well positioned in several markets in Europe. We take technology seriously and our ambition is to shape the future of gaming based on both customer insights as well as technology innovations. I am pleased that Tony joins our team. Tony’s expertise in the architecture of complex gaming platforms and various operating models will support this endeavour to embrace technology in lotteries and gaming,” said the SAZKA Group’s CEO, Robert Chvatal.
Khatskevich has extensive international experience of managing technology organisations.
“I look forward to working across the footprint of SAZKA Group companies to keep the architecture of the gaming platforms up to date as well as evaluate several distinctive models as technology evolves,” said Khatskevich.
Khatskevich’s career began in the academic world and he holds a master’s degree and a doctorate from Tbilisi State University in Georgia. He has gained extensive experience with technology development and management in the gaming industry as well as in other sectors.
