Illegal casino detected in North Korea’s embassy in Moscow
In a surprising and embarrassing development in Russia, the Russian police has detected the presence of an underground casino in North Korean embassy in Moscow, of all places. The police have subsequently stopped its operation.
The police spotted that the operation of an online casino as emanating from Mosfilmovskaya Street, an elite and closed area in the city. Only the invited and recommended guests can reach the area. The users called the casino “north” or “embassy.”
Some reports link the operation of the casino with the “gambling king” Anton Bazhanov. Interestingly, the casino was functioning as a full-fledged one, having its own accountants, financiers, security services, and security guards.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Investigative Committee (SC) were working on this case for about six months, involving 600 law enforcement officers.
