Study shows that Russians spend millions on gambling abroad

A research study and analysis conducted by Sberbank, the state-owned banking and financial services company in Russia, has revealed that Russian tourists spend millions of rubles in gambling resorts outside the country. Here are some specific findings. Russians who spend their vacation in Monte Carlo utilise 28.8 per cent of their travel budget for games in casino.
The most popular destinations for Russians are Spain, Turkey, and Italy. The most expensive resorts for Russian citizens are French Polynesia and Monaco, where Russians spend 168 thousand rubles per holiday.
