New York casinos create US$2.5bn revenue in 2017

The New York Gaming Association (NYGA) has released the latest financial report. The nine casinos and racinos in the state generated a revenue of US$2.5 billion in 2017.
According to the association’s report, the state has more than 170 video lottery terminals (VLTs) in New York, which generated more than US$1.7 billion in gross revenue last year.
Association’s president President Mike Kane said that the past year was marked by change, challenge and opportunity for both members individually and the industry as a whole. “With the advent of new commercial casinos, the total ‘pie’ of gaming dollars in New York grew in 2017, while NYGA expanded to add new members, including Rivers Casino & Resorts and Jake’s 58 Casino & Hotel,” concluded the president.
