GamStop registrations surge

GamStop, the about to be launched gambling self-exclusion scheme in the UK, has so far got 38,000 registrations.
GamStop is a free service, which will offer self-exclusion from all online gambling websites with a single registration for periods beginning at six months and extending to five years. “We are very pleased with the response to GamStop so far as the initial uptake proves there is clearly a need for this scheme,” GamStop chief executive Fiona Palmer said.
“We will shortly be embarking on our first phase of evaluation which will help shape future improvements and enhancements to the service going forward.”
