eSports
eSports officially included as medal sport in Southeast Asian Games

eSports has been included as a medal sport in the next year’s Southeast Asian Games at Clark in the Philippines. The decision has been made at the SEA Games Federation Council meeting.
eSports will become an event in Category 3, along with some other interesting, but less practiced sports such as Jiujitsu, Kickboxing, Netball, Obstacle Course and Underwater Hockey.
This will be a major international event after the proposed Asian Games eSports, to be held in Jakarta later this year.
