Online gambling operators post impressive third quarter results in Spain
Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ), the gambling regulator of Spain, has reported that the country’s licensed online operators posted strong third quarter results. The licensed operators generated a revenue of €182 million, which is 8.7 per cent higher than the previous quarter’s revenue and 30 per cent more than that of same quarter last year.
Sports betting posted the highest figure €97.6 million, an increase of 11.5 per cent from Q2 and a 27.4 per cent year-on-year.
Online casinos produced an income of €60.9 million, about 33 per cent higher year on year. Online poker revenues also increased by 11 per cent year-on-year to reach €19.8 million.
