Gross gaming revenue of Macau jumps by 16.6 per cent in December

The casino’s in Macau continued their revenue surge, as the gross gaming revenue jumped by 16.6 per cent year-on-year to MOP$26.47 billion (US$3.28 billion) in December 2018.
The revenue rise even exceeded forecasts of between 9 and 11 per cent growth. This is the 29th straight month that Macau is showing gains in gaming revenue. December’s final revenue figure took Macau’s GGR for all of 2018 to MOP$302.85 billion (US$37.5 billion), up 14.0 per cent on last year’s gross gaming revenue for the Asian gaming hub.
