Swift buys Blitz Esports App

Esports investor Swift, known mainly as the parent company of Team SoloMid, has acquired Blitz Esports App. The App specialises in analysing competitive video gaming data, helping players hone their skills.
It crunches post-game data and offers suggestions on how to improve one’s skill in Riot’s League of Legends (LoL). The deal is reportedly worth multi-million dollars. Andy Dinh, Team SoloMid’s founder, commented:
“If you look at our history, we’re just basically going back to our roots. If you look before TSM esports, I founded SoloMid Corporation as a blog with my brother Dan, which became SoloMid.net. It was written guides by Dan and I while we were in college. Since then, we’ve gotten better and have a much better team, but this has always been our focus. With the acquisition of Blitz, it really helps build our portfolio where we can leverage Blitz to help what we’re doing on the esports side.”
In November 2018, Discord officially acquired the company’s staff, shedding its content team in the process. Meanwhile, Blitz said that they would be handing the app to a new owner.
Swift will also use the data to further brush up on another two services it owns that focus on improving skill level, namely ProBuilds and LoL Counter. Both websites have been updated to encourage players to download the Blitz Esports App already.
