Nevada regulators take steps to enhance sports betting performance

Regulators in Nevada have initiated steps to improve the performance of sports betting in the region.
First, Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) has granted William Hill to launch seven new sportsbooks in the state. The move has been also ratified by the Nevada Gaming Commission (NGC).
The company will be allowed to open shop in Las Vegas, Laughlin, North Las Vegas, Reno and close to California state borders as well.
Furthermore, the NGC amended sports betting rules to allow out-of-state wagering, should it be legalised in the future (as it’s currently illegal). During a meeting focused on updating current regulations, the commission also approved an amendment to allow casinos to accept just the last four digits of social security numbers, instead of the full number.
The commission also cleared what “amateur sport or athletic” events, “virtual events” (to include eSports) and “other events” are, all of which need NGCB chair’s approval.
