Norsk Tipping extends partnership with Playtech
Norsk Tipping, the national gaming operator of Norway, has signed an extension of its existing partnership with Playtech. The extension is for 10 years. The deal covers the VLT system technology integration with Playtech subsidiary Videobet.
The association between Playtech and Norsk Tipping started in 2003 building Videobet’s VLT products and services on more than one thousand Norsk Tipping retail outlets across Norway.
As per the new agreement, Videobet will continue to maintain and extend the capabilities of its VLT system. Through an open architecture, the system has successfully operated Videobet and third party content for more than 10 years, and Videobet is currently extending those open capabilities by adding support for Remote Game Servers.
Hans Erland Ringsvold, Head of Gaming operations, Norsk Tipping, stated: “We are very happy with the technology and services provided by Playtech and the Videobet team. We are confident that their VLT technology coupled with their professional expertise and experience from a wide range of markets will continue to provide great value for Norsk Tipping and ensure that we can fulfil our future VLT strategy and business objectives.”
Shimon Akad, COO, Playtech, commented:“For more than 15 years we have successfully supported Norsk Tipping in delivering a VLT programme for the Norwegian market. We are excited to continue supporting them in the next 10 years, ensuring their VLT programme remains fit for the market and provides a long-term sustainable offering that also caters to new generations of players.”
