Spanish gambling industry’s fourth quarter results published
Spain’s gambling regulator Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ) has published the fourth quarter results of 2018. The following are the highlights:
- Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) reached Euro 189.5 million, an increase of 4.21 per cent year on year. Sports wagering touched Euro 99.93 million, which accounted for 52.74 per cent of total market GGR.
- Casino accounted for 34.19 per cent to total GGR, contributing Euro 64.77 million.
- Revenue from slots increased by 42.2 per cent YoY to reach Euro 36.4 million.
- Roulette contributed 15.6 per cent to Euro 8.7 million and live roulette delivered 35.4 per cent growth to Euro 12.9 million.
- Blackjack increased 8.7 per cent to reach Euro 6.7 million.
- Poker represented 11.13 per cent of the market reaching Euro 21.08 million, up 6.4 per cent QoQ and 36.54 per cent
