Veikkaus Appoints Regina Sippel as its New CFO

Finnish national betting agency Veikkaus has appointed Regina Sippel its new CFO. She is also now a member of Executive Team of the company.

Sippel will take over the management of Veikkaus’ Finance, Planning and Services function, leaving her previous position as Group CFO at Thomas Cook.

Veikkaus announced that the organisational structure will be revised in the upcoming days and the responsibilities of the Executive Team members will be defined accordingly. Pekka Ilmivalta will continue as SVP, Legal Affairs and CSR; Ari Aarnihuhta as SVP, CIO, in charge of ICT function; and SVP, Channels and Sales Jari Heino will be taking over retail sales, in addition to Points of Sales and Services.

Jarmo Kumpulainen will be taking over CSR matters besides the tasks of the Secretary of the Executive Team and Anna Segercrantz will be responsible for the procurement, in addition to the premises. Joni Hovi will start as VP of Customer Relations Management in Veikkaus’ New Business function.

The company also updated its guidelines and now it features a responsibility metric in its reward system. The metric tracks addictive behaviour.

“Responsible values are integral to all of Veikkaus’ services. We have been steadily evaluating the emergence of problematic gambling trends,” Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, chair of the board said.
