Twin River Casino Launches Mobile Sports Betting App in Rhode Island

Sports betting in Rhode Island has gone mobile. A mobile app launched at the Twin River casino will make standing in line a thing of the past.
“Last year, unfortunately, we had long lines, due to the season and the launch. But this year we have kiosks, we have the retail sports book, and we have mobile launching,” Joe Franklin of Twin River said.
One can load the betting app on a phone. To activate the account, you will need to come to the casino, once. And then bet from anywhere in the state.
After a couple of days of trials, the app rolled out Wednesday afternoon. And the state is anticipating most of its sports betting revenues will come from bets outside the casinos.
“I think it’s another expansion of sports betting for people to enjoy. They’ll have the ability to do it from, from not having to come to the facility. I think it’ll be a good segment to move on,” Franklin said.
