Online Gambling Operators Keep Eyes on Implementation of 5G Technology
The online gambling operators in various countries are planning to implement the fifth-generation cellular network technology (5G technology) in their in-game sports betting sector. For the time being, the highest number of 5G installations is available in the US, with them set to become operational by the end of 2019 as part of the President Trump’s efforts to roll out the new cellular network technology before China does.
The implementation of 5G is expected to make it possible for gamblers to take advantage of live betting which is available in the pauses during a certain sports event. According to reports in the sector, 5G connectivity would be directly applied in the delivery of processing bets and circulated odds from multiple devices during live sports events.
When it comes to virtual reality, the latter is currently pretty much limited by broadband strength. The implementation of 5G technology, however, is expected to end up with the addition of new and more interesting features that would be attractive for both new and experienced players. Online casino providers that offer VR casino services are expected to focus on primarily attracting younger audiences, as Millenials are the ones who would probably be most interested in taking advantage of the newest visual effects and ways of social interaction.
