Former Activision Blizzard VP Adam Apicella Launches Esports Engine

Adam Apicella, the former VP of Activision Blizzard, has announced the launch of his new company Esports Engine, a client-first turnkey esports operations company. The company will focus on competition operations, production, live broadcast and ecosystem design.
Apicella said that Esports Engine was founded to address “immense operational opportunity” in helping organisations control costs and execute consistently in an industry that is constantly evolving.
“We know there is a better way to not only execute esports programming, but that a transparency laden approach to the business itself needed to happen for both the publishers and the community,” Apicella said.
“This shared ideology is why we are launching Esports Engine alongside Mike Sepso, Sundance DiGiovanni, Bryan Binder, and Jason Garmise under the umbrella and leadership of Vindex. By combining forces with the amazing team over at Next Generation Esports, we are poised to create the operational solution we have always dreamed of,” Apicella added.
