NatWest Partners with GamCare to Offer Counselling Sessions for Gambling Addicts

NatWest bank has partnered with GamCare, an independent UK charity, to offer counselling sessions for gambling addicts at its branches across the UK. NatWest is to launch the GamCare’s scheme across 13 branches based in London, the South East and Midlands of England.
As a part of the initiative, those seeking counselling would be able to walk in and book an appointment with a GamCare counsellor at NatWest’s branches.
“Some customers might be uncomfortable going to an addiction centre. This is an accessible and neutral environment,” Phil Sheehy, NatWest’s Head of Lending said.
“The relationship between problem gambling and financial problems is well established, although not enough is known about it,” Mike Kenward, Development Director of GamCare said.
