Zimpler appoints Oskar Bjursten as new CEO

Zimpler AB today announced that Oskar Bjursten has been appointed as Zimpler’s new CEO. He previously worked as an independent advisor and prior to that he held various CEO and management positions in the fintech industry such as Payson AB, Dibs AB and UC AB.

“We are very happy to have Oskar onboard, his background and skills are spot-on for Zimpler. After considerable investments over the last years in a state-of-the-art bank transfer solution, we are in an exceptional position to deliver even more value to our customers and thus growing even faster“, says Peo Nilsson, Chairman of Zimpler.

Bjursten succeeds Kristofer Ekman Sinclair who will remain with Zimpler working with Product and Business Development.

To scale the business from around 40 employees to a significantly larger organisation, and to take advantage of the market opportunities ahead, we need to upgrade our leadership. Oskar has a solid understanding of our products and intended markets and has a proven track record of execution.
