UK Could Ban Gambling Ads on Football Shirts

The UK Government ministers are set to review the Gambling Act 2005. One of the possible amendments being considered is a ban on gambling firms from having their logo on the front of football shirts.
The Gambling Act 2005, which was introduced by the Labour Party is an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom that is designed to control all forms of gambling, including betting.
However, the legislation review could mean the introduction of tighter restrictions to football clubs in England and Wales from being sponsored by betting and casino firms.
Two years ago, it was reported that as many as one in six football teams in the United Kingdom received sponsorship money from gambling firms and despite the logos being removed on replica kits of minors, many children wear adult-sized shirts and are, therefore, showing the gambling logos.
