Hard Rock Rejected from the Race for Greek Casino

Hellenic Gaming Commission (EEEP), the official gambling body in Greece, has accepted its committee’s rejection of the US-based Hard Rock International’s bid. With this Hard Rock is no longer in the race to obtain the licence for the upcoming casino to be built in Elliniko.
The committee rejected the documents submitted by Hard Rock. The company does not have the required construction experience either. Hard Rock will have the right to appeal within 10 days of the official notice.
The other contender, Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, becomes the front runner in the race now.
Last month, Hard Rock said that there would be “mass appeals” if the commission decided to eliminate them from the process. The company explained that it wouldn’t sit back if the tender went sideways.
