Danske Spil Makes 229 Millionaires in 2019

Danske Spil, the national lottery in Denmark, has announced that about 229 of its customers become millionaires through playing its games last year.
Close to 104 gamers won in the Millionaire Guarantee, in which players each week won DKK1m each without necessarily matching numbers in the main draw.
In the meantime, around 30 individuals won in the Euro jackpot stage, while four others scooped the main prize of the VikingLotto, while a further three people walked away with prizes in the Joker game stage.
With regards to Danke Spil’s Tips betting offer, close to 13 people walked away with DKK1m. One gamer walked away with DKK1.9million from a single DKK480 bet on a horse racing event.
In September 2019, Danke Spil stated that there was a drop in gross income in the first half of 2019 mainly due to the choice to divest its stakes in the development of CEGO. Gross revenues from gaming for the past six months ending June 30, 2019, amounted to DKK2.49 billion, which is a drop from DKK2.54 million during the same period in the previous year. Increasing costs also contributed to the operator’s declining margins.
