ODDSET Joins GLMS as an Associate Member
ODDSET Sportwetten GmbH has joined the Global Lottery Monitoring System (GLMS) as an Associate Member. Shareholdered by seven German State Lotteries, ODDSET is a fully licensed 100% state-owned company, which provides Sport Betting through the retail networks of several State Lotteries in Germany.
“I am delighted to welcome ODDSET within the GLMS family. With the recent regulatory evolution, the largest market in Europe will now take further steps towards a full deregulation of the gaming market. Sports betting will definitely lead the way in Germany and ODDSET will play an important role in the promotion of transparent and socially responsible gaming operations. We look forward to having ODDSET on board and working closely with them with the objective of protecting our core values and acting as a shield against global sport corruption,” Ludovico Calvi, President of GLMS, said.
As a GLMS Associate Member, ODDSET will be linked to the GLMS visual identity and overall operations. It will receive summaries of GLMS global alerts and will have access to education and prevention tools, as well as to the Global GLMS information network. ODDSET will also benefit from sponsorship and communication opportunities at GLMS events.
“We are pleased to make an active contribution to the global lottery monitoring system and also to benefit from the professional services which GLMS provides to the members. As a responsible sports betting provider, owned by and co-operating closely with lottery companies, we feel very committed to the goals of GLMS. Every sports betting offer should go hand in hand with the overarching goal of maintaining the integrity of the sport, because only a fair sporting event offers our customers the pleasure of betting. Therefore, we regard it as our duty to support GLMS in the best possible way,” Christof Schoepfel, CEO of ODDSET Sportwetten GmbH, said.
