Macau Casino Operators to Set Up Venues for Covid-19 Testing
Macau’s Health Bureau has approved six casino operators to set up Covid-19 testing facilities within their respective properties. The testing in these venues will be conducted by China Certification and Inspection Group Macau Co Ltd. The health authority will review the test results produced at these venues.
The Health Bureau said that the sampling process and testing venues within the casino properties have to match with the Macau government’s technical and safety standards.
Since July 15, patrons wishing to enter casino floors are required to provide a nucleic acid test certificate proving freedom from Covid-19 infection, in addition to the existing requirements of undergoing a body-temperature check, and presenting a valid “green” Macau Health Code result.
Macau has currently four Covid-19 testing facilities, including two government-run venues and two testing locations run by private entities.
