Ukraine to Launch Gambling Industry in December

Ivan Rudyi, head of the Ukrainian Gambling and Lottery Commission, has said that the Ukrainian gambling industry is expected to be launched in December. He added that the commission is working on a bill that will legalise tax rates for various types of gambling.
“I expect that the first reading will take place in the near future, and by mid-December the document will be adopted. We have an ambition to attract UAH 1 billion to the budget by the end of the year from the sale of licenses and market launch,” Ivan Rudyi said.
Since the commission was recently established, it is planned to form its charter and staff. After the full meeting of the regulator, meetings will be held with investors who want to buy licenses.
