MGA Games boosts talent in the online gaming sector with their MGA Games Academy
One of the digital sectors that has seen the most growth during recent years has been entertainment, making online game design and programming an attractive future profession for young people.
MGA Games, a company specialising in developing gaming content for online casino operators, is a clear example of the exponential growth that this sector has experienced. With a staff of 50 who devise, design, and develop all of the company’s games, they distribute to all main online casinos in Spain and internationally.
To help promote and attract talent to the gaming sector, the company has created the MGA Games Academy program, a new arm to the company that will allow for the training of potential workers thus creating its own pool of staff.
MGA Games has committed to dedicating its time and space to train promising young online slot game developers with excellent results. It currently has a team of eight students – four graphic artists and four programmers – who are training at MGA Games to receive the specialised training they need to forge a future in this field.
The company management recognises that there are very bright and promising people. “It’s about attracting and retaining talent, creating recruitment programs and training that appeal to young people. In fact, many students who already know the trajectory of MGA Games in online game design have in advance especially requested to join the company for their internships”.
MGA Games Academy is also a great way of supporting youth work placement as some students who successfully complete their training may also have the opportunity to work for the company.
