Paysafe’s Paulette Rowe recognized in PaymentsSource’s 2021 ‘Most Influential Women in Payments’
CEO of company’s Integrated & Ecommerce Solutions division honored a third time in payments industry power list of women leaders
Paysafe, a leading specialized payments platform, today announced that Paulette Rowe, CEO of its Integrated and Ecommerce Solutions (IES) division, has been named in the ‘Most Influential Women in Payments’ class of 2021 by PaymentsSource, the New York City-based media outlet covering the global payments industry.
Announced, Rowe’s latest recognition marks the third time she has been included in the list of global payments industry women influencers. She was also honored by PaymentsSource last March following her executive appointment to lead the IES division in January of that year, and in 2017 during her tenure at Barclaycard.
Under Rowe’s leadership over the last 12 months, the IES division has successfully developed innovative payments solutions for Paysafe merchants and technology partners working across multiple business sectors including gaming, travel, health and wellness, among others.
With the IES division, comprising several hundred employees across multiple North American and European time-zones, and the wider Paysafe company moving to remote working from March 2020, Rowe has also proven instrumental in developing a new ‘virtual workplace’ in collaboration with her team. ‘Virtual watercooler’ meetings, division town halls and fun events like Holiday Disco Bingo via GoToWebinar and Microsoft Teams were all initiatives she helped spearhead.
A long-standing and passionate advocate for promoting diversity and inclusion (D&I) in the payments industry, Rowe has been highly influential in helping drive forward Paysafe’s D&I program. Over the last 12 months, the company has unveiled D&I networks to represent the different identities of employees, including Women@Paysafe, Black@Paysafe, and LGBTQ+@Paysafe.
Rowe serves as the executive sponsor of the Black@Paysafe D&I network and has closely collaborated with its leaders for the development of successful Black History Month events in both October (U.K. celebration) and February (North America).
Commenting on Rowe’s recognition by PaymentsSource, Philip McHugh, CEO at Paysafe, said: “I’m delighted to see Paulette recognized once again in PaymentsSource’s ‘Most Influential Women in Payments’. She’s a vitally important part of my executive team and has proven invaluable in skillfully steering our Integrated and Ecommerce Solutions division through these challenging times, while ensuring that diversity and inclusion remains top of our agenda here at Paysafe.”
Rowe commented: “I’m honored to be named alongside so many women leaders who have inspired and influenced my own payments journey. As we as an industry work to create a level playing field for all our colleagues, I hope the women recognized today can serve as an inspiration for the leaders of tomorrow.”
